Artist Statement

“For me, working with clay is a perfect medium!  It allows me to develop many artistic skills while focusing on form, structure, color, texture and function simultaneously. I love working with clay because it’s such a mysterious material.  After all, clay is just earth…but when formed into objects and given enough heat, it can be transformed into precious objects which last eons of time! I fire my work in many different kilns (wood, electric, pit) making the final products sometimes delicate and elegant or sometimes rustic and earthy. Each piece is unique!”
